Wall Construction

Walls are built with 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) timber framing, spaced at 600mm (2’) centres.

Wall Cladding

Selected high quality Shiplap boarding, pressure impregnated with Tanalith E™ to ensure a long, maintenance-free life. Weatherboard is available as an option. All boarding is fixed with rust resisting nails.

Roof Construction

Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black, Onduline. Optional roof finishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles. Clear roof sheets are available on request.

Doors

Stable doors are 2085mm high, 1200mm wide, 70mm thick (6’ 10” high, 4’ wide, 2 3/4" thick). Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (3/4") heavy duty, moisture resistant kickboard. Top doors are ledged and braced. Anti-chewstrips are fitted to the top door surround and to the top of the lower door, extending down to 380mm (15”) at the front. All door fittings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 600mm (24”) heavy tee hinges, 200mm (8”) padbolts, heavy duty kickbolts and a cabin hook to the top door. Tack Room doors are ledged and braced, fitted with 600mm (24”) hinges and a 200mm (8”) pad bolt.

Windows

A two bladed louvre window with a fixed lower section measuring 533mm x 915mm (21” x 36”) is fitted to all Loose Boxes. A heavy duty metal grille with 12mm (1/2") solid bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres is fitted to the rear of each window.

Kickboards

Loose Boxes are lined to 1200mm (4’) with 18mm (3/4") high density, moisture resistant board and can be fully lined to eaves if required. Alternative types of kickboard are available on request. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard but can be lined if required. As standard the external walls of Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are diagonally braced for extra strength

Ventilation

A Louvred ventilation grill is fitted to each gable end.

Canopy/Overhang

Front overhangs extend to 1200mm (4’) and can be underlined as an optional extra.

Guttering

Half round, black guttering and downpipe is fitted to the front of all units. Rear guttering is available on request.

Height

To eaves, measures 2235mm (7’4”) and to ridge 2845mm (9’4”), including brickwork.

Talk Grilles

Can be fitted between Loose Boxes as an option.

Barge Boards

All in pressure impregnated, prepared timber, fixed with rust resisting nails.

Timber Treatment

All timber is pressure treated with Tanalith™ wood preservative.
