On this timber building

Wall Construction

Walls are built with 75mm x 50mm (3" x 2") timber framing, spaced at 600mm (2') centres.

Wall Cladding

Selected high quality Shiplap boarding, pressure impregnated with Tanalith E"! to ensure a long maintenance-free life. Weatherboard is available as an option. All boarding is fixed with rust resisting nails.

Roof Construction

Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. A clear roof sheet is fitted to each Stable and Corner Unit and Tack Room.

Doors

Stable doors are 2085mm high, 1200mm wide, 50mm thick, (6' 10" high, 4' wide, 2" thick). Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (3/4") O S Board. Top doors are ledged and braced. Anti-chewstrips are fitted to the top of the lower door. All door fittings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 450mm (18") heavy tee hinges, 200mm (8) padbolts, heavy duty kickbolts and a cabin hook to the top door. Tack Room doors are ledged and braced and fitted with a 8 pad bolt.

Windows

Are not fitted as standard, but are available as an optional extra.

Kickboards

Loose Boxes are lined to 1200mm (4') with 11mm O S Board and can be fully lined to eaves if required. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard but can be lined if required. As standard the external walls of Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are diagonally braced for extra strength where necessary.

Ventilation

Louvred ventilation grilles are fitted to each stable gable end.

Canopy/Overhang

Front overhangs extend to 1200mm (4').

Guttering

Half round, black guttering and downpipe is fitted to the front of all units.

Height

To eaves, measures 2235mm (7' 4") and to ridge 2845mm (9' 4"), including brickwork.

Barge Boards

All in pressure impregnated, prepared timber, fixed with rust resisting nails.

Timber Treatment

All exterior timber is pressure treated with Tanalith wood preservative.
