Field Shelters are the ideal way to protect your animals from the cold winds in winter and the flies in summer.
Walls are built with 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) timber framing, spaced at 600mm (2’) centres.
Selected high quality Shiplap boarding, pressure impregnated with Tanalith E™ to ensure a long, maintenance free life. Weatherboard is available as an option. All boarding is fixed with rust resisting nails.
Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black, maintenance-free Onduline. Optional roof finishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles. Clear roof sheets are available on request.

Timber skids are constructed using pressure treated 150mm x 75mm (6” x 3”) skids in conjunction with 50mm x 50mm x 4mm metal steels. Towing points are located at both ends and a heavy duty chain is provided.
Metal skids are constructed using 100mm x 100mm x 5mm box steel and are powder coated. Towing points are located at both ends and a heavy duty chain is supplied.
Loose Boxes are lined to 1200mm (4’) with 18mm (¾”) high density, moisture resistant board and can be fully lined to eaves if required. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard. Alternative types of kickboard are available.
Louvred ventilation grilles are fitted to each gable end.
Front overhangs extend to 1200mm (4’) and can be underlined as an optional extra.
Half round, black guttering and downpipe is fitted to the front of all units. Rear guttering is available on request.
To eaves, measures 2160mm (7’1”) and to ridge 2770mm (9’1”), not including brickwork.
All in pressure impregnated, prepared timber, fixed with rust resisting nails.
All timber is pressure treated with Tanalith ETM wood preservative.
