The Clipper Range

Wall Construction

Walls are built with 75mm x 50mm (3” x 2”) pressure treated timber framing, spaced at 600mm (2’) centres.

Wall Cladding

Selected high-quality Shiplap boarding 16mm x 150mm (⅝” x 6″), pressure treated to ensure a long maintenance-free life. Weatherboard available as an option. All boarding fixed with rust-resisting nails.

Roof Construction

Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at a maximum of 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. One clear roof sheet is fitted to each Stable, Corner Unit and Tack Room. Optional roof finishes include coloured Onduline, felt, Onduvilla tiles or felt tiles.

Stable Doors

Stable doors are 2085mm high, 1219mm wide, 50mm thick, (6’ 10” high, 4’ wide, 2” thick). Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy-duty OS kickboard. Top doors are ledged and braced. Anti-chew strips are fitted to the top of the lower doors extending 380mm (15”) down the front. All door fittings heavy-duty and galvanised, to include 350mm (14”) adjustable hook and band hinges to top stable doors and 450mm (18”) to the bottom doors, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy-duty kickbolts and a cabin hook to the top and bottom stable doors.

Tack Room doors

Tack Room doors are 762mm (30”) wide, framed, ledged and braced, faced with Shiplap and fitted with a 200mm (8”) pad bolt and a cabin hook.

Windows

A fully-opening 460mm x 660mm (18” x 26”) Perspex window, lined on the inside with a safety mesh, is fitted to each Stable.

Kickboards

Stables are lined to 1219mm (4’) high with 15mm OS Board. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard but can be lined if required.

Ventilation

Louvred ventilation grille is fitted to gable ends of all Stables.

Canopy

Front canopy extends forward to 1219mm (4’) and can be underlined as an optional extra.

Guttering

Half round, black guttering and downpipe is fitted to the front of all units. Rear guttering available.

Height

To eaves, measures 2235mm (7’ 4”) and to ridge 2968mm (9’ 8”), including brickwork, but not including roof covering.

Talk Grilles

Can be fitted between Stables as an option.


The Chart Range

Wall Construction

One clear roof sheet is fitted to each Stable, Corner Unit and Tack Room. Optional roof finishes include coloured Onduline, Onduvilla tiles or felt tiles.

Stable Doors

Stable doors are 2085mm x 1219mm x 70mm, (6’ 10” x 4’ x 2¾”). Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy-duty, OS kickboard. Top doors ledged and braced. Anti-chew strips are fitted to the top door surround and to the top of the lower door extending down 380mm (15”). All door fittings are heavy-duty and galvanised, to include 450mm (18”) adjustable hook and band hinges to top stable doors and 600mm (24”) to the bottom stable doors, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy-duty kickbolts and a cabin hook to the top and bottom stable doors.

Tack Room doors

Tack Room doors are 838mm (33”) wide, Shiplap clad, framed, ledged and braced and fitted with a 200mm (8”) pad bolt and cabin hook.

Windows

A 533mm x 915mm (21” x 36”) two-bladed louvred window, with a fixed clear perspex lower section, fitted to front of each Stable. Galvanised bars fitted to the rear.

Kickboards

Stables are lined to 1219mm (4’) high with 18mm (¾”) OS Board. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard, but can be lined if required.

The Chester Range

Selected high-quality Shiplap boarding 19mm x 125mm (¾” x 5″), pressure treated to ensure a long maintenance-free life. Weatherboard available as an option. All boarding fixed with rust-resisting nails.

Roof Construction

Purlins are 125mm x 50mm (5” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2′) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses boarded with 11mm OS Board, finishing before the centre of the roof to allow for good airflow and ventilation, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. One clear roof sheet is fitted to each Stable, Corner Unit and Tack Room. 38kg green mineral felt is available as a no cost option. Optional roof finishes includes coloured Onduline, Onduvilla tiles, felt tiles, clay tiles and slate.

Stable Doors

Stable doors are 2235mm x 1219mm x 75mm (7’ 4” x 4‘ x 3”) in a pressure treated frame measuring 100mm x 75mm (4” x 3”) with rounded edges. Top and bottom doors are faced with TGV cladding.  Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy-duty plywood kickboard. Top doors are ledged and braced with vertical bracing to the leading edge, and can be fully lined. Anti-chew strips are fitted to the complete door frame, top door leading edge and top of the lower door, extending down 380mm (15”). All door fittings are heavy-duty and galvanised, to include 600mm (24”) adjustable hook and band hinges to top and bottom stable doors, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy-duty kickbolts and cabin hooks to all doors.

Tack Room doors

Tack Room doors are 914mm (3′) wide x 1981mm (3’ x 6’ 6”) morticed, ledged and braced frame, rebated and infilled with TGV, lined with 6mm (¼”) plywood, fitted with a five levered morticed door lock and a cabin hook, hung on butt hinges in a pressure treated door frame. Inward or outward opening Tack Room doors are available.

Windows

A six-bladed louvre window measuring 533mm x 915mm (21” x 36”) is fitted to each Stable and is fully adjustable from the outside. A heavy-duty grille is fitted to the rear.

Kickboards

Stables are lined to 1219mm (4’) high with 18mm (¾”) plywood kickboards (and can be lined to eaves height, as an option). Hay Stores are not lined as standard but can be lined as an option.

Ventilation

Louvred ventilation grilles are fitted to gable ends of Stables only.

Canopy

Front canopies extend forward to 1219mm (4’) and are underlined in exterior-grade plywood. Canopies can be increased to 1800mm (6’) and include 150mm x 150mm (6” x 6”) support posts with curved bracing.

Guttering

Half-round, black guttering and downpipe are fitted to the front of all units.

Height

To eaves, measures 2464mm (8’ 1”) and to ridge 3438mm (11’ 4”), including brickwork, but not including roof covering.

Talk Grilles

One 1727mm x 864mm (68” x 34”) galvanised talk grille fitted between stables as standard.
